I’m a sophomore on my high school JV baseball team and i play SS, 2nd base and right field, and I’m more of a contact hitter. My assistant coach is telling me that i need to bulk up if i want to make varsity next year, and I’ve already been lifting weights about every other day since the end of my freshman year, and I’ve only gotten a little bigger but mostly cut. What are some good upper body workouts to get bigger?
I seen Dustin Pedroia doing a workout segment on baseball tonight, he was doing cabble cross overs, those are the ones were you get the weighted cable & move it forward like your throwing a baseball, he said it improves throwin strength & bat speed while also strengthening the pecs.
