Several grips on a baseball used for pitching… Anyone at any age can throw the four seam fastball, it’s recommended that you should be about 13 years old before you start experimenting with any finger pressure on the two-seam fastball. The circle changeup should be used once your hands are big enough to comfortably hold the grip that is shown in the video; anyone can throw the palm change0up (see video) DO NOT throw the football curve, aka football change, until you are matured and have been taught by someone with experience, arm and shoulder problems can occur if you throw it wrong if if you throw it when you are still too young.

This is a video of me working with high school junior Sam Horn during a summer work out. He is learning to be more accurate with his slider, and to be quicker to the plate with a slide-step out of the stretch. Some slight mechanical adjustments in his balance and mound position and a few other tweaks with arm slot and release point on the slider. This is by no means a finished product, but a glimpse into the middle stages of what will soon be a polished pitcher.
