in this video clip you’re playing the shot with the ball behind the front foot, which means more bottom hand in the drive. shouldnt the bat make contact with the ball just ahead of the toe since this way, the head will be over the front knee allowing for more body weight to power the shot?
nope, coaching 70 …
nope, coaching 70 or 700 kids does not prove that you know what you are doing and you keep deleting any criticism why is that? Afraid it will effect your marketing ?

it is not pointless …
it is not pointless, it is a very good way to chain and develop a shot…. the drill is a starting step to coaching a player, once they are able to do this then they move up to throw downs and moving balls from different angles etc…. i coach over 70 players playing first and minor counties cricket at various age groups accross the uk. i think i am pretty safe in saying i now what i am doing…..would u agree?

if your struggling …
if your struggling in this way, play vertical bat shots…. pull’s and hooks are risky because you are potentially playing with less bat.. so play drives etc where your bat is vertical and as such give yourself more chance to hit the ball!
one thing i will …
one thing i will ask is, i find it hard to pick up the length, i can play the hook/pull but when the ball is meant to be driven im still on the backfoot, may be reactions are the problem
