Dan, great shoulder movement video. I teach to warm-up to throw, not throw to warm-up. This is excellent to teach to players of all ages. This will definitely save some arms!
Thanks,
Tony
Re: Shoulder mobility exercise
Hello Coach Dan, this looks good and I’ll try it. is there a way to incorporate low tension bands to help add strength??? my idea is that low tension bands would not add excessive strength but would create great “foundation” strength. is this a good way to look at it??
thanks and tk care,
Kelly Austin
Hey Tony,
Thanks for the compliment! I’ve got to say, it’s probably the worst quality video that I have ever done, but it’s a great move that I really wanted to get out to you guys ASAP.
Thanks again,
Coach Dan
Hey Kelly,
Thanks for the great suggestion! Let me play around with it for a day to see how it feels and how the muscles respond.
My initial reaction was to say no because it is a mobility drill and any resistance may reduce the mobility that we are trying to gain, but after thinking about it for a second I think that it may increase the “active mobility” nature of the move…
Now you’ve got my brain juices flowing!
Thanks,
Coach Dan
